We almost can’t believe it, but we just turned 10 years old! It’s been a decade full of hard work, and we want to celebrate the best way we know how – right alongside children fighting cancer and their families.
Aladina now works with seven Spanish hospitals and helps an average of 1,500 young people every year. Since 2005, over 10,500 children have received aid thanks to the programs at our leading centers at the Hospital Niño Jesús and the Hospital Gregorio Marañón, both of which are located in Madrid.
On top of all of this, over the last decade 1,200 sick Spanish children have traveled to Ireland completely free of charge to enjoy an incredible week at Barretstown, the camp founded by Paul Newman that we work with every year.
During these first ten years, we’ve developed a complete network of assistance that focuses on three core components: emotional support, so that the young patients and their families don’t feel alone at any time during their fight; psychological support, thanks to our psycho-oncologists that offer free, personalized help; and material support, which covers anything from carrying out improvement projects at hospitals to providing assistance to children and families with limited means.
We’re working on lots of projects to continue improving the lives of kids and teens battling cancer. Help us keep them going!
