We’re unveiling a new project! Starting now, the mother and child care facilities at the Hospital 12 de Octubre will be using a new breastfeeding room that’s been 100% funded by us here at Aladina.
With the debut of this new room, we hope to make things easier for the many mothers who use the center regularly but struggled to find suitable places to nurse their babies.
We’re really excited to launch this welcoming new room, which features comfy chairs, a restroom, and changing facilities. The room is also decorated with relaxing and inviting patterns. It’s all been thoughtfully designed keeping in mind the well being of the mothers and their children.
The new room will support our Aladina-MGU Mothers’ Milk Bank project, which we launched in June 2014. The bank provides supplies to the Hospital 12 de Octubre, along with the Hospital de la Paz, Puerta de Hierro, and Severo Ochoa de Leganés. The aim is that it will be able to supply milk to all the hospitals in the area with neonatal units.
