Our Maktub Center for bone marrow transplants celebrated its third year of existence on February 7. Since it opened, 142 children have come through its doors to receive bone marrow transplants, which is a long and complicated process.
Maktub is a pioneering center for these transplants, and we guarantee the highest standard of sanitary conditions so that our young patients get through the isolation period in an environment that’s welcoming, colorful, and full of natural light to minimize the feeling that they’re in the hospital as much as we can.
In 2013, the center did 58 transplants in 2013, 45 in 2014, and a 39 last year. We’re proud that all of these children were able to undergo process with the best quality of life possible.
